About Life Reconsidered

Life Reconsidered is a newsletter for people interested in thinking deeply about the Christian faith and how the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ inform the way today’s disciples should relate to and move through the world. So, over time, you could end up reading about any number of subjects—spiritual formation, political engagement, racism, poverty, immigration, justice and mercy, abuse of power, technology, social media, medical ethics, theology, gender, the nature of church, cultural competency... The possibilities are endless.

What to Expect

The newsletter will go out on a biweekly basis. For now, it will include an essay and possibly a poem, as well as a section containing links to articles, essay, podcasts, or books I have found particularly worthwhile. If I have extra creative energy, I may send out additional short essays in-between the biweekly ones. I’m experimenting with some new work rhythms, so it may take a few months for me to establish what I hope to be a predictable publishing pattern.

Why subscribe?

Pretty much everything I publish will arrive in your inbox if you sign up for the free emails. Everyone who was previously an email subscriber to my Wordpress blog is already signed up to receive these. That said, Life Reconsidered will run on a patronage model. Currently, I have no plans to restrict content to paid subscribers, but I’ll let you know if that changes down the road. If you value my work, I simply invite you to consider supporting it for $5 per month or $50 per year. If you have extra resources and would like to go above and beyond these set patronage rates, Substack provides a way to do that as well.
